PROJECT METHOD AS A LEARNING TECHNOLOGY

The method of projects is not fundamentally new in the world of pedagogy. It was used both in domestic and foreign didactics. Originated in the 20s of the last century in the United States. This method is associated with the ideas of humanistic direction in philosophy and education, put forward by the American philosopher and teacher John. Dewey, and also his disciple W. H. Kilpatrick. Recently, this method has been paid close attention in many countries of the world. The method of projects became widespread and popular due to the rational combination of theoretical knowledge and the possibilities of their practical application to solve specific problems of reality in the joint activities of students. “Everything I know, I know why I need it, where and how I can apply this knowledge” – the main thesis of the modern understanding of the project method.

The project method assumes the possibility of solving some problem. It provides, on the one hand, the use of a variety of methods, means of training, and on the other – the integration of knowledge and skills from various fields of science and art. Method tabbachino a specific set of educational techniques allowing to solve a particular problem by the independent actions of students with the obligatory presentation or representation of the results obtained, which promotes the use of research, search, problem methods, creative by nature.

The method of projects

The method of projects is a method which is based on the development of cognitive, creative skills of students, the ability to independently design their knowledge, navigate in the information space, to think critically.

The purpose of the method is to develop the skills of effective use of information and communication technologies in the training of students of all ages with the help of innovative pedagogical technologies, which provides for independent (individual or group) research and search activity of students.

Among the main requirements for the use of this method it is advisable to highlight the following:

– the existence of a research or creative problem or task that requires integrated knowledge and research;
– practical, theoretical, cognitive significance of the proposed results;
– independent (individual, steam, group) activity of students;
– determination of the final goal of the projects (General or individual);
– identification of basic knowledge from different areas needed to work on the project;
– use of research methods: definition of the problem, research problems arising from the problem, the nomination of hypotheses for their solutions, discussion of research methods, design of the final results, analysis of data, summarizing, correction, conclusions (use in the course of joint research methods of brainstorming and “round table”, statistical methods, creative reports, viewing);
– the results of the completed projects should be decorated in a certain way (video, computer newspaper, animated cartoon, web page).
The result of the method training of the project

The result of effective training is the development and protection of its own Portfolio of educational projects, the further development of which involves the use of information and communication technologies and compliance with special requirements for the content, the further implementation of the planned project in the training of students.

A training project is an organizational form of work that is focused on the assimilation of a training topic or a training section and forms part of a standard training subject

During extracurricular activities, it is advisable to consider it as a joint educational,cognitive, research, creative or gaming activities of students with a common goal, apply the same methods and methods of activities aimed at achieving a common real result needed to solve some significant problems. For more effective teaching, students ‘ activities need to be diversified, to practice work in pairs, groups and individual.

The project portfolio is a set of information, didactic and methodological materials for the training project, designed for its effective organization and training on a topic that corresponds to the curriculum of the basic course.

These materials are created by teachers and students during extracurricular activities using computer technology (means of creating multimedia computer presentations, text and graphics processors, a table processor, computer programs for creating publications and websites, searching for information on the Internet, working with e-mail and the like).

Creating a Portfolio is the process of collecting, viewing, updating the content, methodological information related to a particular educational or research topic, lesson, various forms of evaluation of students ‘ activities, examples of their work in order to increase interest in the subject.
